The Virginia Bazaar, Ladysmith, Virginia, 888.568.3532


The Virginia Bazaar is one of the largest flea markets in Virginia.  Located 20 miles north of Richmond on Interstate 95 the Virginia Bazaar features spaces for hundreds of dealers selling new and used merchandise.  The market features plenty of free parking and an indoor food court.  The building is climate controlled for comfortable shopping throughout the year.

The Virginia Highlands Festival, which is scheduled for July 23 – August 7, 2011, has been a yearly tradition since 1948.  Held in at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains, The Virginia Highlands festival features an enormous antiques market as well as arts and crafts as well as juried competitions, lecturers and artists.

The Shenandoah Valley Flea Market is a fairly new indoor flea market that is open weekly from Thursday to Monday.  Located on US Route 11, 2 miles north of New Market, Virginia; this market features antique, vintage collectibles, crafts and a wide variety of other merchandise.

The Hillsville Flea Market is sponsored by the VFW Grover King Post 1115.  However, this flea market which is held on Labor Day weekend every year has grown over the years and now pretty much encompasses the entire town of Hillsville, Virginia.  The Hillsville Flea Market and Gun show draws thousands of vendors almost half a million visitors per year.  You can expect to find antiques, vintage collectibles, guns and just about anything else you can think of at this once yearly show.  This show is scheduled for September 2-5, 2011.


Annual Shenandoah Antiques Expo, Fishersville, Virginia, 540.337.2552


The 44th Annual Shenandoah Antiques Expo which features over 400 dealers both indoors and outdoors is one of the largest antiques and collectibles markets in Virginia.  Held at the Augusta Expoland in Fishersville, the Shenandoah Antiques Expo will take place on May 4-8, 2011.  The primary focus of the show is country furniture and Americana, but you can find all sorts of different items at this giant of a show.

DC Big Flea, Dulles Expo Center, Chantilly, Virginia

The DC Big Flea is the granddaddy of all antiques and collectibles shows in the Washington DC & Northern Virginia metropolitan area.  This indoor antique and collectible market held at the Dulles Expo Center in Chantilly, Virginia features 1100 booths, hundreds of dealers and thousands of visitors from around the country. The DC Big Flea offers plenty of free parking and food courts in two building serviced by a shuttle.  If you cannot find what you are looking for at the DC Big Flea, you will not find it anywhere.  Show dates for 2011:  January 8-9, March 5-6, July 23-24, September 17-18 and November 5-6.

The Lucketts Spring Antique Market, Leesburg, VA

The Lucketts Spring Antique Market is one of those flea markets you want to put on your calendar early.  If you are a flea market aficionado, vintage collector, shabby chic designer or dealer and you have missed this flea market in the past, shame on you.  Featured in a Country Home magazine article a few years back, this flea market attracts thousand from across the country and is more like a good old fashioned hoedown.  Aside from good deals on antiques and vintage collectibles, Lucketts Spring Antique Market features plenty of great eats and live music to liven up the weekend.  Scheduled for May 21-22, 2011.
